It's time for a new issue at Paper Issues: Anything Goes!

Today I am sharing a layout I created using Shimelle's Little by Little line, which I used to create a page featuring my boys hockey pictures.

Here is a closeup, stars make me happy!

Make sure to head over to the Paper Issues blog to see the other gorgeous layouts created for our issue, and please play along! Paper Issues had an awesome online crop this weekend, with tons of prizes and challenges. If you haven't checked it out there's still plenty of time to head over and play along. I created a sketch and layout for the crop. Here's the sketch.

Here is my layout based on the sketch.

I used the Cocoa Vanilla Make a Wish line for this layout.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Friday Favorites 2.24.17

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a great week.  I know I've skipped a couple of Friday Favorites, but we've been one sick family lately.  My youngest started with croup, which turned into a fever for 3 days. Then it transitioned into an ear infection, and he had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. UGH! Then of course I got it, as did the rest of my family. We are all healthy now, knock on wood. Hoping we can go through the rest of the winter, or maybe we're already in spring (???) healthy.

We have had unseasonably warm temps in NOVA, so our week has been awesome. We have an action packed hockey weekend with playoffs starting for both high school and  travel, which I'm really looking forward to. Here are some of my favorites this week.

This sweater with the buttons just makes me happy. It looks like the perfect comfy sweater.

I adore this off the shoulder top. I have a hard time with getting them to look right on me, blah.

I grabbed these shoes this week, and they are AWESOME! Look how cute!

My favorite photo from this week is actually three photos. My son's hockey pictures are in, and they are so cute! The last picture is my hubby and my youngest together. LOVE!

This has taken up so much of my time this week.

I am now addicted to watching the live feed of April the giraffe. She's due to give birth any second, and I find it just fascinating! The above picture was snapped when they allowed the dad to come into the stall with her. The totally wrapped herself around him, it was so sweet.

Hope you have an awesome weekend, I will be praying to the hockey gods for my oldest's weekend of hockey playoffs!

Little By Little product focus

Today I wanted to share a layout I created using the Little By Little line designed by Shimelle.  I love this collection and the bright colors, they were perfect for my layout of my girl and her boyfriend?!?! Can't believe I'm actually typing that, but yes, she has a boyfriend, lord help me.

Here are some closeups. The thickers included in this line are some of my favorites! I love the fonts they used.

You can pick up this line in the Paper Issues shop, and use my code Amy20 to save 20% off any and every thing you purchase!

Have a great day!

Friday Favorites 2.10.17

I am so glad it's Friday. This week was actually uneventful, which isn't a bad thing at all. Everyone seems to finally be healthy, and just plugging along. Here are a few of my favorites from this week.

Hobo Women's Lauren Granite Clutch

I have decided I will be asking for this Hobo wallet quite soon, it's so perfect!!

I saw this Topshop cold shoulder sweater on another blogger and it looked so cute. I'm sure it wouldn't look as cute on me...

This sweater is right up my alley! I love a slouchy sweater.

I ordered this concealer and I really like it! My skin is SO DRY that I need a concealer that's creamy, and this one has impressed me so far. The price tag is icing on the cake!

My favorite photo from this week is another from my girl, I swear I do have 2 other kiddos. :) She got her learner's permit, which means I now have TWO TEENAGE DRIVERS. It makes me cringe just thinking of my insurance.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I am linking up with these wonderful ladies!

Valentine's Day Goodness

Well Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and I have to say I am not a fan. I think it's silly to spend money on flowers/chocolate/cards. Although my husband and I have never really done Valentine's, I do buy some goodies for the kids. Here's some cute stuff I'm thinking about this year.
This is a super cute sweatshirt that could really be worn all year!

I saw these Valentines on the Peppermint Design blog, and thought they'd be super cute for Davis to do for his classmates.

Although I'm not big on Valentine's Day, I certainly wouldn't complain if I was gifted this necklace.

Then I came across these Donut Valentines  on the Say Yes blog, and I think I love these even more for Davis' class.

I mean, does it get any cuter than this sloth??? I think not, this is perfect to hold a box of candy for someone special.

If I were to celebrate Valentine's Day, I would wear this dress and make my hubby take me out to a nice restaurant.

Writing this post just may have convinced me to enjoy Valentine's Day a bit more. Have a great Tuesday.

February Sketchy Saturday

I'm hoping on quickly to share the February sketch for Paper Issues.  I really love this sketch, and loved creating with it. Here's the sketch.

Here's the layout I created. I fliped the photos, but followed the rest of the sketch pretty closely.

I used the Pink Paislee Moonstruck line for my layout.  It's pretty much sold out of the PI Shop, but there are plenty of new goodies you can grab in the shop. Here are some closeups of my layout.

Thanks for stopping by, make sure to check out the Paper Issues Blog to see all the projects our lovely design team created!

Friday Favorites 2.03.17

We had a casino open up near us, and Matt is dying to go. I am thinking this dress would be so cute for a date night and some gambling!

I have been an Amazon Prime madwoman lately, and have been ordering everything I could possibly order to prevent me from actually leaving the house. This week I ordered a new hair dryer.  I have had the BabylissPRO Nano Titanium Hairdryer forever, and it's worked just fine. My daughter decided she needed a better hairdryer, so I passed off my 8 year old (or more) hairdryer to her and went in search of a new one.

My daughter decided she needed my old one, so I went in search of a new one. I ended up ordering theElchim 2001 Classic. I've used it three times so far, and it's also I like it, but not sure I love it? I have very frizzy, brittle hair and would love to find something that really helps smooth it out. So far I'd give this a B.

Speaking of hair, I also decided to try this.

I read about it on another blog, it's the My Amazing Blowdry Secret Shake and Spray. It's supposed to help with frizz, add shine and cut down on blowdrying time.  I do think it's giving me some heat protection, and my hair seems to feel softer, so it's getting a B+.

We haven't had a bad winter so far, but that hasn't kept me from snuggling under this blanket every day. It's definitely been a favorite!

I took my sweet girl to get her third piercings this past weekend, and she talked me into letting her get her cartilage done. She's 15, and I had mine done when I was just a few years older, so cartilage it was. ;) This is definitely a favorite photo from this week.

I will be doing some serious blog surfing this weekend. I am looking for suggestions on skincare and makeup.  I have huge, and I MEAN HUGE pores and I have not been able to find a foundation that I works to help even out my skin and hide them. I'd love some suggestions if you have a foundation  or skincare that you love.

Linking up with some favorite bloggers today.

Have a great Friday!
